On site, 7 days a week in the main season, we have a privately ran food van 'Angie's Kafe'. Angie offers a variety of hot and cold food and drink. Orders can be delivered to lone anglers at your swims if requested.

Menus are available on most swims or from the food van.

Shower available on site and 2 toilets.

  • Checks will be carried out throughout the day.

  • No driving on the grass when wet.

  • No driving around the lake to unload your gear.

  • No driving around when dark.

  • No climbing trees.

  • No use of drones.

  • No rods to be left unattended whilst fishing.

  • 15lb minimum main lake line to be used in the main lake, minimum 12lb line on small lake.

  • No fish to be sacked.

  • Landing nets must be a minimium size of 42" on the main lake.

  • Unhooking cradles / beanies must be used on the small lake.

  • Keepnets must not be used on the main lake.

  • Medi-carp or equivalent must be used to treat hook holes & any other cuts on fish.

  • Permanent fixed leads / rigs are not permitted.

  • No eagle claw hooks or long shanks allowed.

  • Barbed hooks (max. size 4) on the main lake.

  • Barbless hooks on the small lake.

  • Long lines, removal, transferring, killing or eating of fish are all forbidden.

  • All fish must be returned to the lakes unharmed.

  • Saving of swims is not allowed.

  • Swims cannot be reserved.

  • Dogs must be kept under control at all times and their mess cleared away.

  • No swimming, fires, drugs or excessive alcohol to be consumed.

  • Under no circumstances is shooting allowed.

  • Make sure your nets are dry before use in either of the lakes.

  • This is a privately owned fishery - please keep noise and light to minimum level.

  • Swangey Lakes accept no responsibility for theft or damage to personal property.

  • Please take your litter home.

  • If rules are broken, you will be asked to leave the fishery immediately with no refund of ticket price.

  • No live baiting

  • All particles must be soaked and cooked properly.

  • No nuts allowed under any circumstances.

  • No throwing large amounts of bait into either lake in any one session.

  • Dead baits can only be used if purchased from a licensed supplier.

  • No hallibuts pellets allowed or high oil content pellets.
